Audubon Center, Free Family Fun!

9:14 AM Reporter: Maria 0 Responses
I traveled to the Massabesic Audubon Center in Auburn, N.H. for some free fun! I took a scenic hike (about 3 miles long), that was flat and easy for beginners. Learn all about the Audubon Society and the programs they offer through their website : http://www.nhaudubon.org/

For $5 you can watch an Owl presentation.
This is where the hike begins

A bird sits upon a feeder. It is one of many you will see in the Bird Sanctuary.

I chose the yellow trail

Keep your eyes open while on the trail!

I was surprised to find this orange mushroom on the side of the trail.

A little off the path you can find this hidden beach!

I made sure to twitter my progress!

Tim is looking for fish.

End your hike at Milne Pond. Inside the pond you can see turtles! (Their are also supposed to be beavers but we couldn't see any...)

Tilton, NH

9:35 AM Reporter: Maria 0 Responses
Tilton, New Hampshire is a VERY small town located on the Winnipesaukee River. It is infamous to the people of N.H. for two very important things: The Tilton Diner (where you can hula hoop in the parking lot while waiting for a table) and the Tanger Outlets.

Now there are several outlets in and around N.H. (I will try to visit as many as possible this summer, for you, the reader, of course.) However, what I like about the outlets in Tilton is that it doesn't get very crowded (exception, three day weekends). While some can feel overwhelming and have too many stores, Tilton only has around 40 stores, but the ones they have are good (JCrew, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap).

Also, at the outlet mall, you can see this beautiful moose painted by my friend, Michelle Blandina :)
